Benefits and Policies

Facilities provided to sugarcane farmers under the Cane Development Scheme by Haryana Cooperative Sugar Mills:

To promote promising new sugarcane varieties, interest-free loans for sugarcane seeds are provided to farmers.
For foundation seed nurseries, a subsidy of ₹2000/acre is given to farmers preparing sugarcane seed with MHAT (Moist Hot Air Treatment) to cover labour, fuel, and other expenses.
Tissue culture seedlings are provided to farmers at subsidized rates.
Transportation expenses are subsidized if sugarcane seed of new promising varieties is transported from research centers or nurseries in other states.
Recommended pesticides are provided on interest-free loans or subsidized rates for pest and disease control in sugarcane crops.
Bio Labs at Shahabad, Sonipat, Jind, and Meham supply parasitoids free of cost for bio-control of pests.
Farmers receive need-based, timely training on advanced techniques of sugarcane cultivation.

Message from MD'S Desk: : As Managing Director, I believe there is a lot of scope as far as productivity, cost effectiveness and management of the mill is concerned. Our primary focus is to assist Growers (farmers) so that they can ensure sufficient crop area under cultivation. In addition, mill administration will try to upgrade the skills of staff and ensure that each and every employee contributes adequately to this pursuit and productivity of mill. Further, we will assist growers and extend the helping hand wherever the mill can address their grievances. We would expect Kisans and aware citizens to feel free for their valuable suggestions.
